Harry Potter Activity

         

 Thanks to the activity explained in the previous post of this blog, we can conclude what a tutor should be like in broad terms. To broaden our knowledge on this subject, the teacher set us an activity based on the Harry Potter film, comparing two scenes from the movie where Lupin.

We have all had personal experiences of teacher referrals that can be classified into one of two styles of teachers. The first is a strict and cold style and the other is an empathetic and caring style. These two types of teachers are very well represented in the Harry Potter series, being Severus Snape the angry teacher and Remus Lupin the good one.

I personally prefer Lupin and I will also like to be like him because he represents warmth and support. it might seem that being too close with your students can be counterproductive, but I think that it is not the closer you are with your pupils but the confidence they have in you. Therefore, you will create a good and productive classroom.

    It was a quite useful class in order to clearly understand the two profiles.
