WAX ON, WAX OFF - Guiding process and its phases

During this class we have mentioned the film "The Karate Kid" in order to get into detail with the phases that we had explained previously with the example of "Good Will Hunting".

The first phase which is the Preliminary phase has the aim of establishing a good rapport. In the case of "Good Will Hunting", when it comes to establishing a good rapport, the therapist was trying to find out common interest, he was also trying to use similar vocabulary with him.

The second phase which is the Diagnostic phase has the aim of identifying what is the problem. Afterwards we go to the Guidance phase... which is how the therapist plans to solve the problem. The aim of this phase is to design an intervention plan to work with the independent variable and to change the effects that has on the dependent variable.

With the example of "Karate Kid" we see that Mr. Miyagi said he was going to do his part and the kid had to do his . The kid was very confused why he had to do all of those activities that had nothing to do with karate, but that is what makes you think and reflect... The conclusion of the scene was...
